Challenge: 30 Days of Excuses

At the beginning of November, I came up with this #30daysofexcuses challenge. The idea is to track whether or not you practise every day for a month (or it can be any other good habit!), and see what excuses you tell yourself on the days that you don’t practise.

I’m doing the challenge with a bunch of other people on Instagram in November, but for those who were ‘late to the party’ or want to keep it up next month, I will make a December calendar!

All you need to do is sign up below and I’ll send you the template for the December calendar when it’s finished. Maybe I’ll do a fun Christmassy theme.

30 Days of Excuses: December Edition

Let’s track the excuses we come up with that prevent us from practising!

Ever wonder how something can officially be at the top of your priority list, and yet you often don’t come around to doing it?

It’s all in the stories we tell ourselves, the excuses we come up with and the real calamities, big or small, that pop up in any human life.

Wanna receive the December calendar for the #30daysofexcuses challenge? Sign up below and I’ll send it to you near the end of November.

And I’ll mayyybe send you a motivating email with some tips or tricks every once in a while. No spam, promise.

By the way, the idea of this challenge is NOT to bully yourself into practising! It’s also about becoming aware of all the things going on in our lives and paying them some mindful attention before deciding whether or not to practise anyway.

As James Clear says:

‘Be forgiving with your past self. Be strict with your present self. Be flexible with your future self.’

And don’t forget to be kind to all three. Compassionate discipline is the way to go.

Thoughts? I’d love to hear them. Comment at the bottom of this page or DM me on insta (@stellabruggen).
